San Antonio Chapter
Options trading in San Antonio is better when done together! So we launched a chapter of The Dorian Way in San Antonio for the camaraderie. We aim to provide an opportunity to learn from others.
Trader Expectations
Traders learn many aspects of trading options on futures and stock. In addition, members take a deep-dive into the options greeks like delta and theta. Members learn terminology, like “options chain” and more advanced concepts like the calendar spread. Lastly, members learn several ways to hedge a portfolio. From time-to-time, participants meet like-minded traders for a hosted happy hour for options traders.
Who attends these events?
People who join us in San Antonio for an options trading event are from all backgrounds. For example, some people trade options full time as day traders. Others are beginners. They learn basic options terminology, like “put” and “call,” for the first time.
Teachers First.
Facilitators of the San Antonio Options Trading Group for Monthly Income have, collectively, over 30 years of options trading experience. Because of this, you learn from traders who spend day and night thinking about options. These coaches guide you in all aspects of options tradings. For instance, facilitators teach you how to put on your first trade. They also help you troubleshoot your portfolio. In other words, you’re bound to find new ways to bolster your portfolio with supplemental income.
First and foremost, we are teachers who have a passion for options.

Where does the San Antonio group meet?
Events are held throughout San Antonio. In-person events are typically held in a coworking space conference room. Social distancing and public safety considerations are factored into the event set-up. Members who prefer virtual events will find several suitable options to fit their schedule.
What do I need to bring with me?
Bring your laptop and a notebook to a San Antonio Options event. Eventually, you will need an account on thinkorswim or tastyworks. Even if you don’t have an account, we can help you get set up. The most important thing is that you show up with perseverance and a willingness to learn.
